On 29th July 2025, the students of the Universal Solidarity Movement (USM) conducted a deeply enriching and value-based special assembly on the theme “Architects of Peace”. The programme served as a powerful reminder that peace begins with self — through our daily actions, choices, and attitudes.
The assembly opened with a warm welcome and interfaith prayers invoking unity, justice, and compassion, followed by a serene prayer dance. Students eloquently spoke about the USM mission, highlighting its foundational values —truth, justice, peace and love ,and the role of self-transformation in creating a better world.
A moving tribute was offered to Late Rev. Fr. Varghese Alengaden, the visionary founder of USM, whose dream of ethical leadership and interfaith harmony continues to guide young minds across the nation.
The highlight of the event was a dance drama titled “United in Spirit, Diverse in Faith,” showcasing the universal values shared by major world religions — Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism, Christianity emphasizing that diversity is a strength, not a division.
The assembly inspired all present to become true ambassadors of peace, committed to building bridges of love, tolerance, and solidarity.
