If I were to choose one word that best holds my journey as the Head Girl of St. Mary's, it would be gratitude. A gratitude that is gentle yet overflowing, reflective yet deeply rooted. It is the feeling of having learned, grown, faltered, risen, and finally stood with contentment, knowing that every step was guided with purpose. To serve as the Head Girl of this esteemed institution, one that does not merely impart education but shapes individuals imbibed with enduring values, has been an honour beyond words and a responsibility I shall always carry in my heart with reverence.

As I look back, memory softly leads me to the first day I walked through the gates of St. Mary's. A shy, timid, quiet girl, uncertain of her voice and hesitant of her place. Today, I stand at the threshold of farewell as the Head Girl of the very same institution. This transformation was not sudden nor accidental. It was patiently nurtured by the learnings this school bestowed upon me. From a student to a leader, from hesitation to confidence, this journey has been sculpted by the guidance, trust, and belief of our sisters and teachers, whose wisdom became the bridge between who I once was and who I have become.

The academic year 2025-26 holds a place of deep significance in my heart. It taught me that leadership is not about authority but about service, not about prominence but about responsibility, and not about standing above others but standing with them. I express my sincere gratitude to the school management, especially Reverend Sister Janet, for her constant guidance and unwavering support. I am deeply thankful to Respected Sister Marina, our Principal, for trusting me with this responsibility and believing in my potential. My heartfelt appreciation goes to all the sisters of the community for their abundant blessings that have always been a source of strength. To our teachers, every lesson imparted over these thirteen years has shaped my thoughts, values, and vision and to my fellow St. Marians, thank you for walking beside us throughout this journey and proving yourselves to be true Pilgrims of Hope.

This year unfolded as a tapestry of responsibilities and experiences.From the pride and solemnity of the Investiture Ceremony,to the responsibility of organising Teachers’ Day, from the joy and discipline of Parents’ Day to the enthusiasm of various sports activities, every moment strengthened our sense of unity and purpose. Being a part of the historic union of the CJ and IBVM Sisters remains a milestone etched in our collective memory. Amidst these moments, I found unwavering support in my fellow cabinet members, who stood beside me as pillars of strength, cooperation, and trust, making every challenge lighter and every success shared.

This journey taught us patience in adversity, kindness in leadership, courage in responsibility, and above all, the essence of being good human beings. It reminded us to be our finest selves in our thoughts, words, and actions.

As this chapter gently comes to a close, it leaves behind a quiet resolve to live a life imbibed with compassion in heart, guided by conscience, strengthened by character, refined by competence, and driven by commitment. This journey became meaningful because of every individual who guided me when I was unsure, supported me when I grew quiet, and believed in me even before I learned to believe in myself.

St. Mary's, thank you for everything.
