Description:
A solemn prayer service was held on 5th July in the school chapel, where all the Rev. Sisters and teachers gathered as one family to pray for the departed soul of Ma’am Gurpreet Sandhu, entrusting her with love and gratitude into God’s eternal embrace.
On 8th July, the SMCIC family assembled once again in the school auditorium for a memorial prayer service in loving remembrance of Ma’am Gurpreet Sandhu, who served the institution with warmth, dedication, and a nurturing spirit for 29 years.
School Manager Rev. Sr Janet, Principal Rev. Sr Marina, Rev. Sisters, Ma’am Gurpreet’s family, teachers, and students came together to remember her life of gentle strength, cheerful presence, and the love she shared with all. Hymns and heartfelt prayers filled the gathering, offering comfort while celebrating her faith-filled and inspiring life.
A deeply touching moment during the service was when Ma’am Gurpreet’s daughter lovingly shared memories of her mother with the SMCIC family, giving a glimpse into her quiet faith, unconditional love, and unwavering commitment to her family and students.
As a symbol of hope and a living remembrance of Ma’am Gurpreet’s nurturing spirit, a sapling was presented to her family, signifying that her love and faith will continue to grow within the SMCIC community. The service concluded with words of blessing and gratitude by our Principal, Rev. Sr Marina, encouraging all to carry forward Ma’am Gurpreet’s radiant legacy of kindness, dedication, and joyful service.
