St. Mary’s Convent Inter College, Lucknow, observed a day of gratitude and joyful welcome on 15th July 2025, honouring Rev. Sr. Anupa for her dedicated service while warmly welcoming Rev. Sr. Alisha as the Headmistress.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, invoking God’s blessings upon the day and all present. This was followed by soulful hymns and heartfelt messages of gratitude from students and staff, creating an atmosphere of warmth and thanksgiving.
Tokens of deep gratitude and appreciation, including bouquets, saplings, and handmade cards, were presented to Rev. Sr. Anupa as an acknowledgment of her patient guidance, unwavering commitment, and the nurturing presence she shared with every member of the SMCIC family. She addressed the gathering with heartfelt words, blessing the SMCIC family for their love and support, and encouraged everyone to continue to walk in faith and unity.
Rev. Sr. Alisha was warmly welcomed by the staff and students with bouquets, saplings, and messages of greeting, marking the beginning of a new chapter of faith, learning, and care under her nurturing leadership. Thereafter, Sister addressed the school community, expressing her heartfelt thanks for the warm welcome and assuring her commitment to guide the students and staff with her vision and wisdom.
The students depicted the theme of the day through a meaningful presentation, reflecting on the message,
“When you lose sight of the shore, you live in the hope of the star,” inspiring everyone to trust God’s guidance while embracing new beginnings with courage and hope.
In the end, the School Principal, Rev. Sr. Marina, addressed the gathering with words of encouragement, urging everyone to carry forward the spirit of faith, gratitude, and hope, and beautifully reminded all:
“With grace we let go, with love we move on.”
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the management, the Principal, the staff, and the students for their dedication in making the day a memorable and meaningful celebration.
The day reaffirmed the commitment of the SMCIC family to walk forward together as pilgrims of hope, trusting God as their guiding star while stepping into new beginnings.
